LAKEWOOD RANCH – Tidewell Hospice celebrates the grand opening of their new family grief center in Lakewood Ranch.

The Blue Butterfly Family Grief Center provides free grief support for families and children of all ages who have lost a loved one. The center has four group sessions for kids five to eighteen and for their caregivers as well.

Family Grief Program Specialist Danielle Visone says the center is a safe place for families to grief and heal together.

“We have families all over the community that come to our program, it’s not only for Tidewell families or patients,” said Visone. “And when are here in our groups they’re doing activities where they are talking about their person that died, they’re doing art projects where they can express themselves without talking cause sometimes talking is hard.”

Visone says the groups’ meets twice a month and there is no limit as to how long families can use the grief centers services.
