BRADENTON – Body cameras are now live on Bradenton Police officers.

The cameras were flipped on today — after a presentation at this morning’s city council meeting. The department first started testing various vendors this past summer.

The police chief said the goal is to build on transparency and trust for the people that live there.

It’s estimated to cost the department a little more than a $1 million over five years.
