SARASOTA – With one day left, the 2020 Republican National Convention President Donald Trump must prepare for the biggest political fight of his career.

“We all know that the president has to win Florida in order to win the country,” said Jack Brill the Acting Chairman for the Sarasota Republican Party.

A new CNN/SSRS poll from late July finding that former Vice President Joe Biden leads in Florida by a 51% to 46% margin over President Trump among registered voters.

“Every day my father fights for the American people. The forgotten men and women of this country. The ones who embody the American Spirit,” said Eric Trump.

But he wasn’t the only one of the presidents children to speak in a rare appearance Tiffany Trump touted her fathers success.

“You see, Make America Great Again is not a slogan for my father, it is what drives him to keep his promise of doing what is right for American citizens,” said Tiffany.

State Senator and Chairman of the Republican Party of Florida Joe Gruters says Republicans are building strong momentum heading into the November elections. Especially to secure the win for the president  in the swing state of Florida that he now calls home.

“Florida is the prize. We can’t win the presidency and the White House without winning Florida capturing those 29 electoral votes,” said the senator. “Things are looking very good, we’re very excited about everything that’s happening.”

Sen. Gruters says, voters who hold onto traditional American values know exactly who to cast their vote for on Election Day.

“If you value freedom, if you value liberty, if you want to continue down the path that you have the opportunity to have equality of opportunity and not equality results that’s us,” said Sen. Gruters.

And with President Trump still left to accept the nomination, Brill says the president must send a message of hope to the American people.

“I think that the president is going to lay out a vision that will be exciting, it’ll be motivating,” said Brill. “And going forward what’re we going to do to help the future generations of the country.”

President Trump is expected to accept his nomination on the last day of the RNC from the White House Friday night. You can catch it here on SNN.
