Suncoast relief efforts continue for Puerto Rico

NORTH PORT – Suncoast relief efforts are still working to help those affected by the Puerto Rican earthquakes.

HOPE for North Port Partners with Iglesia Neuva Esperanza to Bring Relief to Puerto Rico. 

They will be filling up 40-foot shipping containers with supplies for distribution.

They still need supplies. Some items they need include: 

They also need volunteers to help pack the items. Loading will take place tomorrow from 9 am to 5 pm. It will be located be at 5600 South Biscayne Drive.
 
A team of 10 volunteers will be traveling to Puerto Rico to meet the supplies at Port and transport to Yauco. They are coordinating with local organizations in the Yauco, PR region to identify children and elderly within the surrounding area to bring items to. The group is also partnering with mental health resources within the region to connect those affected by the trauma that is being experienced.
