SARASOTA – It was a night of celebrating and raising money for those who need a second chance at life.
“People that are in need, that’re reaching to get help and looking for a second chance they want to turn their lives around,” said Dr. April Glasco.
Dr. Glasco founded the organization to help people in crisis with essential skills and tools they need to manage their lives productively.
“Those individuals that were looking for a second chance they know they have a safe haven in the north Sarasota that helps them when they’re in crisis,” Dr. Glasco.
The organization celebrated 24 years of success with its 10th annual fundraiser Git It in Your Soul that held a silent auctions and musical guest Leon Pitts of the Westcoast Black Theater Troupe.
“I am over excited because I didn’t know if I was going to last this long. Words can’t express, I’m so grateful to have so many people to support Second Chance Last Opportunity,” Dr. Glasco.
All of the money raised will continue to help those in need. Dr. Glasco hopes second chance keeps provided help to those who need it for another 24 years.
