SARASOTA – For many, Memorial Day weekend is a time to hit the beach or fire up the grill. Hundreds of people all over the Suncoast were scrambling to stores, Sunday to pick up their last minute items.
One Suncoast visitor and retired chief warrant officer brought his family down from Orlando to spend the holiday weekend on the Suncoast.
“We didn’t bring a grill, so they got a great special on the already cooked and prepared rack of barbeque ribs and we’re going to take advantage of that. I bought me a couple racks of that. We heading to the beach and catch some sun rays,” said Hector Ahorrio
He and his family normally visit the beaches along St. Pete but decided to go somewhere new this year and are loving the Suncoast beaches.
