Rescue cats from Bahamas to be available for adoption soon

Bahamas rescue cats

SARASOTA – Rescue cats from the Bahamas will be available for adoption in a few weeks on the Suncoast.

The Bahamas Humane Society needed space to take in cats from more damaged islands. Cat Depot worked with other animal rescues in the state of Florida to take those cats from them. Cat Depot received 10 cats on Monday, anywhere from six months old to a year and a half. They were then placed into quarantine.

Once they’ve been checked out and the rescue gets to know the cats, they’ll be available for adoption, which Cat Depot says should be in a few weeks.

If you’d like to adopt one of the cats, you can go on its website or on its Facebook page to find out when they are available. If you’re not looking to adopt but still want to help, Cat Depot says it appreciates donations, especially wet and dry food. You can call them at (941)-366-2404.
