TAMPA (SNN-TV) – The Buccaneers are making their final preparations prior to Sunday’s stand-off with the LA Rams in the divisional round.
After falling to the Rams in Week 3, the Bucs aim to even the score Sunday afternoon.
The Rams won that Week Three matchup fairly handily, 34-24, but the Buccaneers ended up with the conference’s second playoff seed and finished the regular season ranked higher than Los Angeles on offense and defense in terms of both yards and points.
Both teams also handled their Wild Card foe with relative ease, but each team is dealing with lingering offensive line injuries coming into Sunday’s game.
Earlier today, the Rams announced that veteran starting left tackle Andrew Whitworth will be out for this contest.
As for the Bucs, both Tristan Wirfs and Ryan Jensen will be game-time decisions, and Head Coach Bruce Arians elaborated on that earlier today. “They both moved around in the individual drills. We didn’t put them in any team stuff so they wouldn’t get tripped or anything. It’s still 48 hours [away] and they’re progressing nicely.”
Kickoff between L.A. and Tampa is set for 3pm on Sunday.
