CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (SNN TV) – A Port Charlotte woman is dead after an accident in Charlotte County Friday.
Florida Highway Patrol said at 7:27 p.m, the 63-year-old woman was riding her bicycle west on Harborview Road, east of De Leon Drive. FHP said the bicycle did not have lights on it.
A 17-year-old Port Charlotte teen was traveling west in a pickup truck, also on Harborview, and collided with the bike.
The bicyclist was pronounced dead on scene. The teen suffered no injuries.
