VENICE (SNN TV) – Brian’s Laundrie’s mother wrote a letter to her son that offered to bake a cake with a shiv inside to help Brian if he were sent to prison for Gabby Petito’s murder.
That’s according to a new court filing by Gabby Petito’s parents.
According to our partners at WFLA, their attorney wants the “burn after reading” letter released; that’s the letter Roberta Laundrie wrote to her son Brian that allegedly shows she was aware of Petito’s murder in August 2021.
According to attorney Pat Reilly, the letter references bringing a shovel to help bury a body, which Reilly says is reasonable to assume means Gabby Petito. He believes a jury should see the letter and decide when it was written and if it’s related to the murder.
Laundrie’s mother claims there’s no connection between her words and what happened to Petito, saying, “I never would have fathomed the events that unfolded months later between Brian and Gabby would reflect the words in my letter.”
