MANATEE – A pedestrian was killed early Sunday morning in Manatee County.
It happened just after 3 am, on US 301, north of 25th Court East. Florida highway patrol says the man was improperly walking northbound in the right lane, when a vehicle hit him.
Officials say the driver did not see the person walking in the road.
FHP says then another vehicle struck him. Officials haven’t released the victims name. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Charges are pending.
