SARASOTA – The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a Thursday night crash that left one person seriously injured.
Investigators say a car hit a pedestrian in the 3400 block Clark Road at Bronx Avenue shortly after 8 pm. One person was transported to Sarasota Memorial Hospital as a trauma alert.
Eastbound lanes of Clark road are closed while the scene is being investigated.
Motorist are asked to avoid the area if possible.
The Sarasota county sheriff’s office is assisting in the investigation.
