SARASOTA – Suncoast residents are enjoying their official start of the Spring Break by going to the fair.
It’s the opening weekend of the 83rd annual Sarasota County Fair.
Hundreds were in attendance despite the early morning rain. From wild carnival rides to delicious carnival food there is something for everybody in the family to enjoy.
Oscar the Robot has been entreating kids and their families since the mid-nineties at the fair. He says the human interaction is just what his robot heart’s needs.
“All the great people here you got wonderful kids with families that come out to the fair that brings me here every year,” said Oscar. “I get to come back and people still have fun talking to me and we race and we dance and we do all sorts of silly stuff.”
The fair is up until March 24th. Parking is free on the fairgrounds but for more information on ticket prices you can visit sarasotafair.com
