SARASOTA (SNN TV) – A man is dead after an argument and shooting on Fruitville Road and Cattlemen Road.
This happened Saturday night at 8:08. According to the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a reported shooting and found a man dead in a pickup truck on Fruitville Road west of I-75.
A female driver and male passenger were found alive nearby in a sedan. The male passenger told deputies there was an argument, and the driver of the pickup pointed a gun at him and the woman. The male passenger says he left the car and fired multiple shots into the pickup, hitting the driver.
The driver died and next-of-kin was notified. The man who shot the driver had a concealed weapons permit and was carrying a firearm at the time.
