VENICE (SNN-TV) – Via his Twitter, Venice receiver/wildcat tailback Omari Hayes has announced his commitment to Conference USA’s Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN.
The uber-athletic Hayes was previously committed to Lafayette College, but announced last week that he would no longer be attending the college, and that his recruitment was back open.
As a receiver, Hayes hauled in 68 receptions for 851 yards and 11 TD’s, and on the ground Hayes tallied 192 yards and 8 TD’s.
As far as the MTSU program. Rick Stockstill’s Blue Raiders finished the 2021 season 7-6 and closed out the year by defeating Toledo in the Bahamas Bowl, 31-24.
