NORTH PORT (WSNN) – North Port’s annual Poinsettia Parade scheduled for tomorrow night is cancelled.
On a Facebook post from this week, North Port Parks and Rec said quote: “Unfortunately, many past participants were understandably uncomfortable being a part of a parade this year due to COVID-19.”
Only ten floats of the usual 60 were signed up for this year’s parade.
And since it requires a lot of the city resources, the post says city members decided it would be prudent and cost-effective to cancel.
