NORTH PORT- The North Port Police Department is cracking down on illegal off road vehicles.
After a crash between an ATV and truck, injured a ten year old, North Port Police are reminding riders; off-road vehicle driving is illegal and puts drivers at risk.
The ten year old received immediate medical care and is expected to make a full recovery, but North Port Police Departments spokesperson, Josh Taylor says they are taking a zero-tolerance stance on future violations.
“There’s nothing out there, people want to use these expensive fun machines they have. You have to find places where you can do that within the law, and that’s just the bottom line.”
Taylor warned riders, their officers are in the area and watching for any illegal activity.
