DENVER, COL (SNN-TV) – Denver fans were celebrating the Nuggets’ survival last night in the 132-126 thriller over the Lakers in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals.

Nikola Jokic logged third consecutive triple-double of the playoffs with 34 points, 21 rebounds, 14 assists, his sixth of the club’s current run. In doing so, Jokic ties Magic Johnson and Draymond Green for the second-most triple-doubles in a single postseason. The Nuggets’ center now ranks as the only player in NBA history to tally multiple 30-point, 20-rebound triple-doubles.

After a slow start, Anthony Davis had 40 points and 10 rebounds, and LeBron James finished with 26 points, 12 boards and nine assists for the Lakers.

Game 2 is tomorrow night at Ball Arena, where the top-seeded Nuggets are 7-0 in the playoffs and 41-7 overall, the best home record in the league this season.  Tip-off is set for 8:30pm on ESPN.
