SARASOTA COUNTY (SNN TV) – A new Publix is planned for North Sarasota County.
Publix confirms a new store will be developed at Fruitville Commons on the intersection of I-75 and Fruitville Road, just two miles east of the Publix at Sarasota Crossings.
This new one will be located on 1940 Lakewood Ranch Boulevard. Lakewood Ranch is expanding into Sarasota County.
The Herald-Tribune reports with Lakewood Ranch’s expansion, development east of I-75 has increased traffic significantly.
The county eventually plans to build an overpass across I-75 linking Lakewood Ranch Boulevard with North Cattlemen Road near U-T-C.
