SARASOTA – Its Spring Break and students are out of school, but sadly, New College students are not returning.

New College of Florida communications director, Ann Comer–Woods, says they’re asking students to return home as soon as they’re able to do so.

For those who can’t, like international students, Comer–Woods says New College is making alternate accommodations.

“Our international students are currently living in our residence halls are going to be allowed to remain in their rooms until the end of the academic semester if for reasons such as travel restrictions, financial hardships, they’re unable to return to their home countries right now,” Comer-Woods said.

College students begin virtual learning Monday, March 23, and continue online until the end of the semester.

Other colleges on the Suncoast are also working to accommodate students.

Tomorrow, we’ll have more on how Ringling College of Art and Design makes adjustments.
