MANATEE – Nate’s Honor Animal Rescue recently took in more than one hundred dogs this week.
Staff at Nate’s says nearly 70 dogs arrived on Monday from other shelters that were at full capacity. The shelter received a mixture of puppies and older dogs –each getting checked to make sure they have all their shots and in good health.
Director of Development Rob Oglespy says a majority of the dogs have been sent to foster homes. “We got numerous people were reaching out to us saying they had ten puppies in their backyard, they needed help with, surrender request and what not. So yea the last three days we brought in over 100 animals,” he says.
Oglespy says more than sixty dogs have been assigned a foster home already – but don’t worry there are still plenty to adopt.
