SARASOTA COUNTY (SNN TV) – Sarasota County is closing a Midnight Pass Road walkway for a few days.
Starting Monday, July 31, the timber walkway attached to the bridge over Grand Canal will close for repairs. It’ll remain closed through August 4.
Sarasota County says the sidewalk leading to the bridge will also be closed.
You can still drive over the bridge, but traffic may be delayed as Florida Department of Transportation crews will be working on Midnight Pass Road.
Paving crews will also inspect the timber walkway from August 7-11. Boats will be able to travel under the bridge, but traffic there could also be delayed. Cars will not be affected during that inspection, however.
