SARASOTA – Residents are taking action early and loading up on gas not only filling their cars but their gas cans as well. The Exxon on U.S. 41 and Hillview St saw an influx of drivers trying to get gas at some of the gas station that still have some left.
Grant Wickliene says he’s heading down to Miami for the Rolling Stone concert and wants to make sure he has enough gas to get back.
“Like the last hurricane we had here it was – this was a crap shoot. Nobody was out here and there’s people coming off the street, coming this way and it was just-it was just bad,” said Wickliene.
The Shell station next door had run out of gas and had only premium left. Before heading out in search of gas, apps like Gas Buddy can save you the hassle of searching and the headache.
