SARASOTA – You may have spotted these  hidden around town. Brandon Thrift is the artist behind the simple message of spreading love. Alexis Fraser also known Lipstick Lex spreads her message of love subliminally.

The two say they’ve been on each other’s radar for some time now – as their artwork is both unique and different all at the same time.

“We caught each other at the exact same moment, and it was so uncanny,” said Thrift.

The two most talked artists in Sarasota have decided to collaborate. Bringing joy to their fans to see what the two will create.

Thrift’s artwork can now be found and purchased at the Lipstick Lex Gallery located on 1419 5th St. Unit A near heart of downtown Sarasota.

“So a lot of the pieces that I have here in my gallery of Brandon’s, there’s quite a few of them that I’m going to be adorning with my kisses in them as well,” said Fraser. “So that’s my way of being able to contribute into his pieces on like a more simplified scale I guess you can say.”

Thrift’s art pieces lead you on a scavenger hunt around town in order to find them. He says his goal, to spread the much needed message of love especially given the times we find ourselves in.

“[We could] use a lot more love, a lot more togetherness, a lot more community,” said Thrift. “It’s a never ending project, it’s to continuously do it.”

As far as any big projects the two have in store…

“Big pieces, big things. Just keep your eyes peeled. They’ll be somethings popping around town,” said Thrift.

In the mean time we’ll keep our eyes to the streets of downtown Sarasota for an elusive message of spreading love adorned with kisses.
