GREENVILLE, SC (SNN-TV) – A nail-biter played out in the Greenville Regional as the LSU Tigers and LaDazhia Williams survive against the Utah Utes by a score of 66-63. The Tigers move on to the Elite 8 for the first time since 2008.
LaDazhia Williams scored a season-high 24 points in the victory and Angel Reese had her 30th double-double of the season with 17 points and 12 rebounds.
Coach Kim Mulkey’s team will face ninth-seeded Miami on Sunday night for a spot in the Final Four. The Hurricanes overcame fourth-seeded Villanova earlier today, 70-65.
