John Daly, John Daly II narrowly defeat Tiger, Charlie Woods in PNC Championship

ORLANDO (SNN-TV) – Tiger Woods returned to competitive golf this weekend with a little help from his 12-year-old son Charlie.

The father and son duo competed to take an impressive second place finish in the PNC Championship in Orlando. It’s the first time Tiger has played since a devastating February car crash in L.A. that badly damaged his right leg.

The 45-year-old Woods showed many flashes of his former self and his son also made some great shots. At one point, the father and son team birdied 11 consecutive holes to finish 15-under par.

Being back on the course was a welcomed feeling for Tiger. “The fact that I am able to have this opportunity this year, even a couple weeks ago we didn’t know whether or not I’d be doing this, but here we are and we had just the best time ever. He and I out there, I just wish…like I told you guys yesterday…I wish I could’ve walked down the fairways with him, been side by side with him the entire time like we were last year.”

John Daly, another legendary golfer, won the tournament Sunday. Teamed with his son, John Daly II, they edged out Tiger and Charlie by just two strokes.
