ST. ARMAND’S CIRCLE – The Halloween fun continued across the Suncoast with trick or treaters heading to Fright Night on St. Armand’s

Hundreds of trick or treaters of all ages walked around the circle collecting candy from the various shops. Retailers and restaurants contributed to the Halloween spirit by offering customized promotions.

Theresa Duffy alongside her friends attended Fright Night for the first time. Duffy says it was a change of scenery for her getting to trick or treat in the heat instead of in the snow.

“I’m from Michigan so usually it’s pretty cold around this time of year so I actually got to dress up in a costume this year so that was fun” said Duffy. “I was actually walking around listening to people be like ‘Oh are you too hot, let’s take off some of your costume’ usually I’m adding layers.”

The fun didn’t stop there as performers put on mini concerts near the center of the circle. However for the first time in years the annual “Thriller” dance was not performed by the Sarasota High School Theater program.
