ENGLEWOOD, Fla. (SNN TV) – The Hermitage Artist Retreat announced its first wave of fall and winter programs.
The Englewood-based non-profit announced a slate of programs featuring Hermitage Fellows in music, theater, dance, literature and visual art.
The next performance is Friday, September 29. It’ll feature Sarasota artists Melanie Lavender and Kuniko Yamamoto.
As the sun sets on the Hermitage Beach, spoken-word poet, podcast host, and Booker High School alum Melanie Lavender will share selections of work resulting from her two-week residency at the Hermitage. She’ll be joined by origami master and theatrical storyteller Kuniko Yamamoto. She participated in the Hermitage/JRT residency program last year just before Hurricane Ian.
