FLORIDA – Gas prices continue to drop in Florida.
According to AAA, after reaching a record $4.89 June 13th, they’ve tumbled around 60 cents in the state to around $4.26 as of Sunday.
And it’s around 16 cents cheaper from just last week.
While it’s still much higher than last year, it’s going in a positive direction, and barring any hurricanes in the Gulf of Mexico affecting refineries or disruptions such as Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, AAA says gas can get below 4 bucks in more and more places.
So where can you find the cheapest gas?
According to Gas Buddy, the cheapest gas in Sarasota County is $3.93 at Walmart by West Price Blvd (4884 Stauffenberg Ln, North Port). In Manatee County, it’s already at $3.89 cash at Circle K on 1706 8th Ave W in Palmetto, and $3.99 at the Costco in Bradenton. In Charlotte County, the cheapest gas can be found at Sam’s Club for $3.85 at 17700 Murdock Circle in Port Charlotte, and just a cent higher at $3.86 at BJ’s in Port Charlotte.
In DeSoto County, the cheapest is $3.99 at the Citgo on 335 South Brevard Ave in Arcadia, though DeSoto on average is higher than the rest.
