NAPLES (SNN-TV) – Two-time Chubb Classic champion and golfing legend, Fred Couples, has withdrawn from this weekend’s Chubb Classic with a back injury. Champions tour regular, Ken Tanigawa, will play in place of Couples.
Fred Couples won the Chubb Classic in 2010 and 2017, and has won 64 professional tournaments in his career. Couples withdrawal follows that of former PGA Tour star Davis Love III.
The 2022 Chubb Classic begins this Friday at the Tiburon Golf Club in Naples.
