LAKEWOOD RANCH – Kinsley Peacock and her family have a lot to celebrate. Five-year-old Kinsley has spent the past year coping with retinoblastoma, an extremely rare and aggressive form of eye cancer.

The Make-A-Wish Southern Florida Foundation wanted to gift Kinsley and her family a special gift to celebrate Kinsley being cancer free. “It’s just such a change from when she was first diagnosed to today and we couldn’t be happier,” said Kinsley’s dad Adam Peacock.

The wonderful news came to the Peacock family at the end of April, that’s when Make-A-Wish stepped in to gift this brave little girl a trip of a lifetime. The Peacock family will be packing their bags and setting sail on board a Disney Cruise.

“It’s such a gratifying thing to be able to grant a wish, and to grant a wish for a kid like Kinsley and to her family because wishes bring families together,” said Richard Kelly.

Kelly, COO of the Make-A-Wish Southern Florida,  says more than 100 real-estate agents with Fine Properties helped make Kinsley’s dream a reality.

Kinsley a future baker shared some of her specially made cookies made by Kinsley’s Cookie Cart, a non-profit that funds pediatric cancer research. Kinsley’s dad Adam says he couldn’t be more thankful to Make-A-Wish.

“It’s just such a beautiful thing to be, almost coming up on the one year anniversary from when Kinsley was diagnosed, to being able to celebrate a time together as a family and within our community to celebrate Kinsley’s Make-A-Wish,” said Adam.

Kinsley’s mom Kim Peacock says she hopes families going through the same journey as Kinsley know there are resources in the community to assure you’re never alone when fighting cancer.

“Let people know how they can help you, lean on your family, pray, rely on our faith and if your local and if you’re local and you need somebody…call us,” said Kim.
