SARASOTA (WSNN) – A new restaurant in town is participating in Taste of Pride.
FAM kitchen is a vegan outdoor cafe that opened about 6 months ago.
It’s located off of 10th street a few blocks away from Tamiami Trail in Sarasota.
Everything the kitchen offers is plant-based. With the Pride meal, you’ll get a Rainbow salad and a bag of chips.
“FAM also stands for Food As Medicine and the Rainbow salad is, I’m sure you’ve heard, ‘eat the rainbow and you’ll stay healthy,’”FAM Kitchen Owner Laetitia Kepecz said. “It’s good for the gut, good for the body, good for the skin, great nutrient value. It’s really a nutrient-rich dish.”
The cafe is open Monday through Saturday during breakfast and lunch hours. You can get soups, salads, sandwiches, bowls, and wraps.
