MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. (SNN TV) – Manatee County Animal Welfare waived adoption fees for dogs.
The waived fees with last through the month of October, and applies to all dogs.
Manatee County posted on their website that there are around 98 adoptable dogs at the Palmetto shelter and 45 dogs at Bishop Animal Shelter. All adoptions include spay/neuter, microchip and rabies certificates free of charge this month. However, Manatee County residents are required to license their new pet for an additional $20.
Some of the dogs will also partake in another event Oct. 7 at the National Playgroup Rockstars event. This will be held at the Palmetto Adoption Center from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
