VENICE – It happened just after 3, Sunday morning. Florida Highway Patrol reports 28-year-old Yusuf Memon was traveling on the northbound entrance ramp of I-75 near state road 681 when he lost control of his car. 18-year-old Muhammed Memon was in the car and died.
According to troopers, the car ended up in a ditch just off the entrance ramp before it hit a tree. Yusuf was taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
