SARASOTA – The Florida Department of Health reports the number of positive coronavirus cases has surpassed 400 patients resulting in the states ninth death.
As of Thursday night there are 432 confirmed cases of the virus in the state. The Florida DOH is reporting one person from Duval County who had tested positive died.
Here on the Suncoast health officials report on one new case in Manatee County, bringing the total confirmed cases to nine in that county. And two new case in Sarasota County bringing that total to six confirmed cases.
Sarasota Memorial Hospital officials have not confirmed any new cases. Hospital officials say three patients have been discharged while one remains hospitalized.
Hours of operation will remain the same while visitor’s hours will be limited.
