SARASOTA COUNTY (WSNN) – Congressman Vern Buchanan (FL-16) reacts to president Donald Trump’s statement about a peaceful transfer of power.
President Trump say he doesn’t agree for two reasons: one, if it is not an equal and fair election, claiming the the mail-in ballots are a disaster.
And two, because he says there will not be a transfer, as he will continue to be the President of the United States.
And Congressman Vern Buchanan responds saying, “There has always been a peaceful transition of power since the election of George Washington and I fully expect that to continue well into the future. It is one of our nation’s most fundamental doctrines and what separates us from other countries around the world.'”
Other government officials like white house press secretary Kayleigh McEnany and House Minority leader, Kevin McCarthy respond assuring the public it will be a smooth transition if its a free and fair election.
