SARASOTA – New air conditioners are more energy efficient. Solar energy is cleaner. And Floridians have a reason to use both. Bob Bunting is the CEO of the Climate Adaptation Center in Sarasota. He says there’s a certain amount of warming we’re now stuck with this century.

Because of this, adaptation and mitigation strategies are important so the state has the safest evacuation protocol for its growing number of residents. And to keep the world from warming even more, local and state governments can give incentives for residents to retrofit their old homes with green technology.
