CHARLOTTE – A teacher at Charlotte High School IS arrested accused of sexually assaulting a student in his classroom.
The Punta Police Department reports 39-year-old Brendan William Toop from Punta Gorda turned himself into the Charlotte County Jail Friday.
Police says the incident happened during the 2016 and 2017 school year .
Toop and the victims messaged each other on snapchat during that school year, one day agreeing to meet in his classroom. Once there, police say Toop assaulted her in the closet. Detectives believe there may be two more victims
Toop has bonded out of jail.
