CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (SNN TV) – Charlotte County libraries and recreation centers reopen Friday.

In a news release, Charlotte County said that most community services facilities will operate normal hours Friday. This includes the public libraries in Englewood, Port Charlotte, and Punta Gorda.

Centennial Park, Harold Avenue Regional Park, and South County Regional Park rec centers are back open Friday, as well as the pools in Centennial Park, Port Charlotte Beach Park and South County Regional Park.

The Ann & Chuck Dever Regional Park Pool was previously closed until further notice while repairs were made, but the county said that pool is also open now. While Charlotte County Parks are open, the county warns there may be damage, debris or standing water.

Also, the Tom Adams Bridge reopened to boat traffic after Hurricane Idalia. Charlotte County Emergency Management shared the update Thursday night.

The Tom Adams Bridge serves as an access from the Englewood mainland to Manasota Key and Englewood Beach. Manasota Key saw much flooding due to Hurricane Idalia.

One of our reporters couldn’t drive all the way through the area on Wednesday due to the level of flooding.
