Charlotte County announces voting changes caused by Ian

CHARLOTTE COUNTY (SNN TV) – Charlotte County early voting begins Monday, and Hurricane Ian has forced some changes.

First, there are four early voting locations available to you:

The Charlotte County Administration Building in Port Charlotte, Jarrett Ford of Charlotte County in Port Charlotte, the Mac V. Horton West County Annex in Englewood, and the Old Historic Courthouse in Punta Gorda.

If you are used to early voting at the Mid-County Public Library, that is no longer available.

Second, if you’re waiting to vote on Election Day itself, you must vote at the polling location assigned to you by law. That will be your normal polling location with five exceptions:

The Mid-County Public Library has been moved to the Charlotte County Administration Building, Port Charlotte Beach Park has been moved to Meadow Park Elementary School, Port Charlotte Middle School to Jarrett Ford Dealership, Charlotte County Fairgrounds to Murdock Middle School, and Burnt Store Presbyterian Church to South Punta Gorda Heights Civic Association.
