SARASOTA- On the eve of Sarasota’s “Bike to Work” day, a bicyclist was hit by a car early this morning and is now in the hospital.
According to Sarasota County Emergency Services, the car hit someone riding a bicycle, near U.S 41 and Myrtle Street around 8:30 this morning.
The cyclist, unidentified both by name and gender, was taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
Sarasota Police are investigating the accident.
