PALMETTO – A bicyclist is killed Saturday morning after being hit by a car.
The Florida Highway Patrol is reporting the 61-year-old man from Bradenton was stopped on the intersection of 61st St. E and U.S. 19.
FHP says that’s when the bicyclist walked in to the path of an incoming car that was traveling north on U.S. 19. Troopers say the cyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
The identity of the The crash remains under investigation.
