ACC, Big Ten and Pac-12 announce historic alliance

ALLIANCE

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (SNN-TV) – Three of the NCAA’s power-five conferences announced a scheduling alliance earlier today.

The ACC, the Big Ten and the Pac-12, say they are working together on “a collaborative approach surrounding the future evolution of college athletics and scheduling.”

The alliance was formed in the wake of Texas and Oklahoma moving from the Big-12 to the SEC, that signaled a major shift in the collegiate sports landscape.

With today’s announcement, the ACC, Big Ten and Pac-12 today have agreed to focus on several issues concerning collegiate athletics including scheduling more games with one another, while maintaining their current contractual agreements.
