SARASOTA – It was a night full of magic at the Ringling College of Art and Design.

The fundraiser event raises money for their scholarship program all while adding a creative twist to the theme of the night.

Warlocks, Queen of Hearts, and many other magical creatures showed up to the college campus ready for a very magical night.

Vice President for Advancement Stacey Corley says in the 20 years of the fundraiser the school has collected more than one million dollars in scholarships funds.

“We’re very creative here place, Ringling College is, so we’ve leave it up to our guest for their imagination as long as magic is in the theme of what they’re doing they’ll fit right in,” said Corley. “More than 90% of our students are on some form of financial aid, so fund raising for scholarships is super important. Scholarships are our greatest need.”

The highlight of the night was presidents Larry Thompson and his wife arrival to the event, as year after year make a grand entrance. Our own SNN’s Suncoast FYI host Nancy O’Neil won the night’s most creative costume.
