SARASOTA – A gas leak in Sarasota leads to several streets being closed while crews fix the damage.
Sarasota County Fire Department responded to a call of a gas leak near the intersection of Hickory Avenue and Indian Beach Drive early Saturday morning. TECO was called out to the scene to fix the damaged gas line.
Sarasota Fire Department spokeswoman Sarah Nealeigh reports the leak was caused while work was being done in the area.
Nealeigh says there are no reports of injuries or transports to nearby hospitals.
