ANNA MARIA (WSNN) – While some restaurants plan to open in Phase One, others keep its doors shut.
Chiles Restaurant Group consists of Sandbar Restaurant, the Beach House, and Mar Vista Restaurant.
The Mar Vista and Sandbar are currently offering takeout, grocery lists, meals for four, and organic produce boxes.
Owner, Ed Chiles, says they do not plan on opening dine-in experience.
He says he’s happy to see more testing in Manatee County, but he needs more data on trends.
“If you don’t have the data, and if you don’t have the information, then there’s more fear out there,” Chiles said. “And fear is what’s driving all of this so, I hope that the reopening is successful and we don’t see cases go up. We worry about starting up and then having to shut down again and that would be a very big negative, obviously.”
