Free Resources for Building a Stronger Family Bond

LOCAL BUSINESSES JOINING FORCES

Three local nonprofits are working hand in hand to educate the community and provide resources for families.

“Just about a year ago, we started the Aqua Cares Foundation and primarily the heart of my partner and myself was, uh, to help children, uh, especially children that are hungry. And it’s kind of evolved to even, further outreach with children. And so now we’ve started to partner other organizations to try to maximize the impact that we can have on building stronger families.” -says Skip Stanton, Chairman of the Board of Aqua Cares Foundation

The joint effort between Aqua Cares Foundation, Goodwill Minnesota, and Pregnancy Solutions aims to provide families with valuable resources and support.

“We just come around them with resources that will help them to just build their family unit to be strong. A lot of people are coming in with fears because maybe they didn’t have the parental, mentor ship that they would’ve liked to have, and, they’re worried about how they’re gonna be able to parent their own child. So we come around them with resources and support so that they can really create a strong family unit.” says Melissa Gordon, Director of Advancement, Pregnancy Solutions

Goodwill Minnesota is providing books for families who participate in the campaign.

“In this project we’re just providing books for children who send in a submission about why their family’s special or, or give a little bit of information about how to be safer, stronger families. We’re excited to be a part of that and we were honored to be asked to participate in this initiative.” says Margie Genter, Vice President of Mission Services at Goodwill Manasota

The goal, strengthen family bonds while promoting home safety reporting in Sarasota, Eric Wilson, SNN, the Suncoast News Network.
