TAMPA (SNN-TV) – At a press conference this afternoon held at Yuengling Center, the National Indoor Soccer League officially announced Martin Gramatica as head coach for the new expansion team, Tampa Bay Strikers.

Gramatica was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the third round of the 1999 NFL Draft. He was selected to the Pro Bowl and named All Pro in 2001, and won Super Bowl XXXVII with the Bucs. But, the Argentinian grew up playing soccer prior to playing organized football.

The National Indoor Soccer League was founded in January of last year. Each city will have a team in both the Men’s & Women’s Divisions.
