SARASOTA – Early voting in Sarasota ends on Sunday and last minute voters take to the polls.

The Florida Primaries are just around the coroner and coronavirus fears didn’t stop Suncoast residents from letting their voices be heard and cast their ballots. Though Election Supervisor Ron Turner says 60 out 600 poll workers are refusing to work on election day over coronavirus concerns he and his staff are ready for the primaries.

Hannah Paley just turned 18 and while back home for Spring Break she wanted to make sure her vote was counted.

“I mean I’ve never been able to vote before, but I’m really excited about it because it’s part of what helps create change and stuff and I want to be able to make my voice be heard in that way now that I’m old enough to,” said Paley.

The Florida Primaries are scheduled for Tuesday March 17th. For a list of voting locations and their changes head to sarasotavotes.com
