MANATEE COUNTY (WSNN) – After postponing high school graduations due to COVID-19, the Manatee County school district reschedules them.

It will be held at LECOM Park in at 1611 9th St. W., in Bradenton, from Monday, July 27, through Saturday, August 1. LECOM Park is the spring training home to the Pittsburgh Pirates and their minor league affiliate, the Bradenton Marauders.

The postponed ceremonies were originally going to be held inside the Bradenton Area Convention Center, but with an increase in COVID-19 cases across Florida, they chose to move it outdoors to help maintain social distancing. 

The graduations will all take place in the morning. The revised schedules for all the schools are below:

  • Monday, July 27: Southeast High School, LECOM Park, 9 a.m.
  • Tuesday July 28: Braden River High School, LECOM Park, 9 a.m.
  • Tuesday July 28: Manatee High School, Hawkins Stadium, 8 p.m.
  • Wednesday July 29: Lakewood Ranch High School, LECOM Park, 9 a.m. 
  • Thursday July 30: Palmetto High School, LECOM Park, 9 a.m.
  • Saturday August 1: Bayshore High School, LECOM Park, 9 a.m.
